Meet our team

Norbert Nyawasha is a seasoned food safety and quality consultant with over 10 years of experience across various sectors of the food industry. As Managing Director of Innovate FSQ Consultancy (Pty) Ltd, Norbert leads a team of professionals dedicated to ensuring food safety compliance and the continuous improvement of food quality standards. His expertise spans the development and implementation of Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), internal and external auditing, and the facilitation of training programs tailored to industry standards such as FSSC 22000 and BRCGS.
Norbert’s extensive work history includes leadership roles in auditing, quality assurance, and food safety consultancy in industries such as abattoirs, meat processing plants, salt manufacturing, pineapple canning, beverage industry, storage and distribution, fresh and frozen vegetables, retail and plastic food packaging manufacturing. He has conducted numerous FSMS audits for high-profile clients, ensuring compliance with international food safety standards. His key strengths include meticulous audits and report writing, training facilitation, root cause analysis, and managing complex food safety systems.
Norbert is passionate about knowledge sharing and regularly facilitates training sessions that raise awareness of food safety best practices. He is registered as an Auditor with the South African Auditor and Training Certification Association (SAATCA) and actively contributes to the association’s initiatives as a Technical Evaluator and Scheme Committee member.
